WeatherLink® for Alarm Output
Use your Vantage station to set up customized alarm “recipes” that, in turn, control four switches. For example, you can set an alarm that will switch only when the high wind speed is over 20 mph, the wind direction is between the south and west, and it’s between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. “Recipes” can be as simple or as complicated as you need them to be.
Includes WeatherLink software, alarm configuration tool, and datalogger. Requires Windows XP and above with an available serial port.
WeatherLink® for Irrigation Control
Use your Vantage station to turn your irrigation system on or off based on current weather conditions —no more watering the lawn when it’s raining! Installation is quick and easy. Connects to most common irrigation systems, including Rain Bird, Rain Master, and Toro. For the industrial controllers used in agricultural and turf management, provides electronic pulses for wind, rain, and evapotranspiration. For homeowners, uses the alarm settings in the Vantage Pro2 console. Set the alarms to water your garden before a hard freeze hits, or to turn the system off if it starts raining. Add our optional solar radiation sensor, and you can even set the alarms to turn the system on or off based on evapotranspiration.
Data logger simultaneously logs and stores the data, which can later be downloaded to your PC for all the graphing, charting, and analysis inlcuded with our standard WeatherLink.
To track multiple stations on the same computer, add one WeatherLink for each station. To view the same weather station on multiple computers, add one Extra User License (#6510X) for each computer. To use WeatherLink to control more than one irrigation system, you’ll need a Wireless Envoy or Wireless Console.
Not for use with WeatherLink for Mac. Includes streaming data logger, software on CD, and an 8′ (2.4m) cable to connect the data logger to your computer or modem.
Requires Windows XP and above with an available serial port.
Agricultural/Turf Management Module
Optional software module adds specialized reports for farmers, growers, and turf managers. With a user-defined 24-hour period and growing season, you can track the weather according to your needs, not the calendar’s.
You’ll get evapotranspiration, chilling requirement, leaf wetness hours, and soil temperature hours—all with user-entered thresholds and starting and ending dates. Plus growing degree-days and temperature-humidity hours (with user-entered names of crops, pests, or diseases) and crop water management (with irrigation values and user-entered K-factor profiles).
For use with WeatherLink models 6510SER, 6510USB, 6540, 6550, 6560, or 7862. Some reports require the use of optional sensors. Not for use with WeatherLink for Mac. For owners of GroWeather who wish to upgrade to Vantage Pro2, includes the ability to import files from GroWeatherLink.
Compatible with both original Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2.
E-mail/Phone Alert Module
Be alerted whenever conditions approach critical—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Choose e-mail for detailed information on alarm conditions, plus regularly scheduled updates on current weather conditions. Or choose the phone alert, with a special alarm tone alerting you to check your weather station or WeatherLink for more details. (Because systems vary, the phone alert may not work outside the USA).
Optional software module for use with WeatherLink models 6510SER, 6510USB, 6540, 6550, 6560, or 7862. Not for use with WeatherLink for Mac.
Compatible with Vantage stations.
